Running Toward Resilience

Potential through Perserverance

At the Frazier Family Foundation, we believe potential is built through perseverance, faith, and the people who inspire us to keep moving forward. That belief shines brightly in Victoria Diaz, one of this year's scholarship recipients and a standout athlete whose heart for the track has shaped her path in more ways than one.

Beyond The Finish Line

A graduate of Alice High School, Victoria spent four years competing in varsity track and cross country. Her high school journey was filled with wins, losses, and lessons that extended far beyond the finish line. During her freshman year, a false start in the 4x400 relay disqualified her team and left her heartbroken. But instead of giving up, she turned that setback into motivation.

With renewed focus and determination, she trained harder, pushed further, and led by example. Her perseverance paid off when she and her teammates became district champions for the first time in Alice High School history, a milestone she calls one of her proudest moments.

A Source of Inspiration

Through every season, one person remained a constant source of inspiration, her track coach, Coach Acosta. Victoria met her at just eight years old, and over the years, their relationship grew from coach and athlete to mentor and role model. Coach Acosta's faith in her ability helped Victoria believe in herself, teaching her that resilience and heart can overcome any obstacle.

Now, as Victoria pursues a degree in nursing, she carries those lessons into the next chapter of her life. Her journey is a reminder that success is built stride, belief, and mentor a time.

At the Frazier Family Foundation, we celebrate students like Victoria, whose stories remind us that potential is more than promise. It is, in Victoria's case, literally a purpose in motion.
